Howling at the Moons of Saturn
Quantity in Basket: None
As you can see, this is a rather odd photo. It has long been a pet peeve of mine when folks assume that the phase of the moon affects the behavior of wolves. At least with howling it has no effect at all. However, I occasionally get asked for a photograph of a wolf howling at the moon. This is what I came up with.
Starting with a photograph taken at night of Seneca and Marion, the alpha pair of our main pack, I superimposed them over a sunset photo that I ran a gradient over in Photoshop. This made the trees turn a bright yellow and did weird things to the clouds. I then grabbed some photographs of the moons of Saturn from the NASA website and created this very alien looking photo. It is weird, but I kind of like it, in a weird sort of way that is ;-)
